*Lunch for Thurs, April 7 is hamburger horseshoe, corn, chips & fruit

*Sophomores are going to JWCC for the Compass test today.  We will meet in the lobby around 8:40 to be able to board the bus by 8:45 a.m.  They will be back for 5 – 7 hours.  Please remind Sophomores in your first hour to take a calculator and their Social Security Number.  Lunch will be provided by JWCC.  Juniors are going tomorrow.

*Baseball team plays tonight at Highland at 5:00.  Bus at 3:00.  Dismiss at 2:50.

*Softball team plays tonight at Griggsville-Perry at 4:30.  Bus at 2:45.  Dismiss at 2:35

*JH Track has a meet today at Liberty at 4:00.  Bus at 3:05.

*The library is looking for volunteers to help with the book fair next week.  If you are interested, then please contact Ms. Brokaw and see if you can schedule a time to work.

*Next year's Dance team--You need to be at school tonight at 4:30 and both you and your parents at 6:45 for an informational meeting in the library.

*7th Grade Girls--JH Dance tryout practice will be April 11 and 12 from 6:00-7:30 with tryouts on April 6 at 6:00.  Even if you are interested in cheer, go ahead and sign up.

*7th Grade Girls--forms for Volleyball camp are now in the office.  It will be Mon, June 20-Fri, June 24.

*Alex Zanger needs to see Mr. Smith ASAP about his dues

*Seniors--The Health Dept is offering the meningitis vaccine for $10.00.  After you turn 19, they must charge $115.  If you are interested in this vaccine, please call 222-8440 for times.

*The Softball team is having a raffle for Cardinal-Cub tickets and a Kabrick beef bundle.  Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.  The drawing will be during the last home game on May 10.  You do not have to be present to win.  Please see a softball player for tickets.

*HS Volleyball Players--Forms for the Payson Seymour Volleyball Camp are in the office.  It will be Mon, June 13-Thurs, June 16.  There is also information on other volleyball camps in the area.

*Coupons for Seno tuxes are in the office.

*Students who have turned 13 by June 1, 2011, up to age 18, are eligible to participate in the Blessing Hospital Youth Corps this summer.  This program offers an opportunity for young people to explore a variety of careers in the health field with being a volunteer.  Applications are on the web under Blessing Health System, and must be received by no later than May 6, 2011.

*Gully trucking in Quincy is looking to hire individuals this summer to do some cleaning and painting of truck wheels.  You cannot be afraid of getting dirty, breaking a fingernail, or hard work.  If interested call Gene East at 224-0770 ext. 163.

*There will be a volleyball meeting during lunch today.

*Juniors and Sophomores:  Please turn in your permission slip to Mrs. Callahan today to be able to go to JWCC this week.  Sophomores will be going tomorrow and Juniors on Friday.  The permission slips were mailed home to your parents.  If you do not have it, just have your parents write a note giving their permission.

*HS Track has a meet tonight at Pittsfield.  Bus at 2:10.  Dismiss at 2:00. 

*Baseball team plays tonight at home at 4:30 vs Illini West.

*There will be a Parent Meeting for Seniors going on Senior Trip tonight at 6:00 pm in the HS Library.

*The Breakfast Barrio will be back in business tomorrow.  We will be serving the best breakfast you will ever have...ever.  Consisting of many different combinations, including scrambled eggs, bacon, hash browns, Daylight Donuts, and your choice of chocolate milk or orange juice.  Scrambled eggs will be $1.00, the donuts will be $0.75, and all other sides and beverages will be $0.50 each.  Breakfast will begin at 7:40 am and will end at 8:04 am.  Be sure to come and not miss out.  You don't want to be hungry!

*Congratulations to Bryce Terwelp and Dakota Flesner for being selected to play in the McDonald's Classic basketball games on Saturday June 11, 2011 at Quincy University.

*Spring Sports pictures will be taken after school TODAY.  You need to be in your uniform ready to go and meet in the HS Lobby.  JH Track will start at 2:00, HS Track right after school, followed by boys baseball then girls softball.  Order forms are available in the office.

*JH Track has a meet tonight at QJHS (Flinn Stadium) at 4:00.  Bus at 3:00.

*Prom RSVPs are due by this Friday, April 1.  This is for all invited juniors and seniors and staff.  Also, money for the resevations must accompany the RSVP.

*Freshmen--please go to Mr. Carey's room today to sign the paper for the t-shirt.

*Softball still needs concession workers for Saturday.  A student could get all 4 hours completed if he/she came to work at this Saturday's games.
