*Lunch for Weds, Sept 21 is lasagna, garlic stix, tossed salad, oatmeal cookie & fruit.

*Friday's lunch has changed to a cookout

*HS VB plays tonight at Routt Catholic at 7:00.

*Flag practice will be after school today.

*Tomorrow for Spirit Week is class colors:

  • 7th Grade - Pink
  • 8th Grade - Green
  • Freshmen - Blue
  • Sophomore - Purple
  • Junior - Orange
  • Senior - Yellow
  • Staff - Red

*Art Club members need to bring their $2 dues to the first meeting being held tomorrow.  Tomorrow's meetings will be Art Club & National Honor Society.

*Congratulations to Skylar Durbin -- he won a very large container of cheese balls for magazine sales. His name was chosen from those who turned in their postcard booklets.

*Prom Committee will meet next Weds, Sept 28 at 7:20 am in the Art Room.

*Picture retake day is scheduled for Thurs, Sept 29.  This is for any student or staff who did not have their picture taken in August.  We will also retake the football team so wear your jerseys.

*Student council will be sponsoring a caramel apple social tomorrow for the Junior high and Friday for the High School.  Student council members, please remember to bring in your apples or caramel.

*Pep Club members - your $3.00 fee is due to Mrs. Reeves or Ms. Isaacks by Fri, Sept 23.

*JH boys interested in basketball or who needs to turn in their baseball uniform--there will be a meeting during JH lunch on Fri, Sept 23 in the gym.

*Any student going to the Unity Homecoming Dance Sat night, Sept 24,  needs to fill out a permission form.  The cost is $7.00/person & $12/couple.

*Percussion will practice after school on Tues, Sept 27.

*Anyone interested in being a Pep Club officer, there will be a sign-up sheet on the office window.

*Starting Monday, Sept 19th, any student who has one tardy or less will be able to participate in a Payson Pride celebration on Oct 4.

*The Pep Club is now selling the "cinch sacks" that are blue and white with Payson Seymour Indians on them.  Inside the bag there is a really nice umbrella, poncho, sunglasses and water bottle--all have Payson Seymour written on them.  We are selling them for $20.

*Candy bars will be sold during JH/HS lunch daily.  Plenty of caramel is available.  All bars are $1.00 each.

*Do you need community service hours?  Here are a couple opportunities:

  • The concession stand for JH girls basketball needs workers.  Please stop by the office if you are interested.
  • The Grade school is in need of people to help out at Homework Haven.  This runs from 3:05 – 4:00 Monday thru Thursday.

*Mid-terms will go home today.

*If you would like to be in Art Club, there is a sign-up sheet on the office window.  Deadline is today.  Members need to bring their $2 dues to the first meeting being held on Thurs, Sept 22.

*Any Pep Club member who can ride in the Homecoming Parade Friday night at 4:30 needs to see Mrs. Reeves at lunch.

*Boys Golf has a match tonight at Hamilton at 4:00.

*There is a meeting for JH Dance members & their parents tonight at 7:30 at the High School.

U.S. Cellular is donating another $1 million to schools. The 18 schools receiving the most votes will each receive a one-time award from U.S. Cellular to use any way they choose. The school with the most votes will win $150,000. Seventeen other schools will win $50,000 each. The campaign kicks off on September 9th at 10:00 a.m. and ends on October 6th at 11:59 p.m. You must be 18 to participate and do not need to be a US Cellular customer.

*Payson Marching Band and Flag members will be participating in the Rushville Smiles Day Parade today.  Bus time will be 8:00, and we hope to return to Payson before the end of the school day. 

*The JH Baseball team has received the #1 seed in their regional.  They will play their first game tomorrow at 10:00 at Payson.

*The football game for tonight has been moved to tomorrow night at 7:00 pm at Jacksonville Routt.

*Girls Golf has a meet tomorrow at Macomb at 8:00 am.

*The blood drive is today.  We will begin at noon and there are still spots available.  See Mrs. Rosenkrans.  The donation times will be posted outside the library and Mrs. Rosenkrans room.

*Sport pictures will be taken tonight after school for the following sports:  Golf, Football, JH Baseball, JH Softball, Band and HS Volleyball.  Make sure to bring your uniform!  Golfers bring your golf polo!

*A big thank you from all of the football players and coaches to all from Payson that attended the game this past Friday!  The crowd noise was tremendous.  The players were amazed on how loud it was!

*Kyle Vandermaiden has won prep athlete player of the week.
