*Lunch for Thurs, April 14 has changed to flapjack stix, hashbrown cubes, biscuit & fruit

*Club/organization Group Pictures will be taken this morning.  Find out from your sponsor what he/she want you to wear.

*This past cheerleading squad will have lunch in the library today.

*Student Council will sponsor an ice cream social for the high school today during lunch. JH is tomorrow.

*Baseball team plays tonight at Unity at 6:00.  

*Softball team plays tonight at 4:30.  Bus at 3:15.

*HS Track has a meet at Pittsfield tonight.  Bus at 2:10.  Dismiss at 2:00.

*JH Track has a meet at Warsaw tonight.  Bus at 2:30.  Dismiss at 2:20.

*If you have signed up for STEM class next year and have not submitted your application, you must have your application in by this Friday, April 15, or you will not be considered and/or admitted to the class.

*On Monday, April 18, the following students will be attending a Lifetime SAA Banquet:  Jaden Bower, Jade Delcour, Dakota Flesner, Matt Hocking, Ashley Oberling, Brittany Speckhart, Terry Volk, Rebecca Wolf, and Austin Zanger.  These students will meet in the Lobby at 11:35 a.m.  Lifetime members need to dress appropriately for a Banquet.  No jeans or shorts!!!!!!! 

*Seniors--announcements & cap/gown will be given out on Mon, April 18 after school.  Everything must be paid for before then--no checks; only cash, money order or online. 

*Seniors--a sign-up sheet for graduation flowers is in the office.  You get one free; any extra you want are $5.00.  Please sign up by Weds, April 20.

*Seniors--the Liberty Bee-Times Questionnaire is due Weds, April 20.  Make sure you turn in it before you leave on Easter Break.

*Sophomores--the cookie dough will be delivered on Tues, May 3 after school.  Please make arrangements to pick it up that afternoon.

*There are order forms for Prom pictures in the office.  Please also sign up for a time to have your pictures taken.  The sheet is on the counter.

*The following must be paid or you will not be able to attend prom:

*JH Track will have a meet on Tues, April 19 at Quincy.  Bus at 2:50.

*Drum Major auditions will be held on May 2, May 4 and May 5 at 5:15 in the band room.  Students have to be present on one of the rehearsals on the 2nd and/or the 4th.  Students must be present at the audition held on the 5th.  Students will be auditioning to conduct Illinois Loyalty, Whistle Calls and Alignment practices.  Please sign up in the band room with Mr. Bowman.

*Flag rehearsals and audition will be held on May 2, May 4 and May 5 at 5:15 in the band room.  Studnents have to be present at one of the rehearsals on the 2nd and/or the 4th.  Students must be present at the audition held on the 5th.  Students will be auditioning to a flag routine to Illinois Loyalty.  Please sign up in the band room with Mr. Bowman.

*The Softball team is having a raffle for Cardinal-Cub tickets and a Kabrick beef bundle.  Tickets are $1.00 each or 6 for $5.00.  The drawing will be during the last home game on May 10.  You do not have to be present to win.  Please see a softball player for tickets.

*HS Volleyball Players--Forms for the Payson Seymour Volleyball Camp are in the office.  It will be Mon, June 13-Thurs, June 16.  There is also information on other volleyball camps in the area.

*Basketball Camp for incoming 7th and 8th graders has been changed to June 13-17 in the EMPR from 8:00-9:30 am.  The change is due to the Washington DC trip.  Thanks for your cooperation. 

*7th Grade Girls--forms for Volleyball camp are now in the office.  It will be Mon, June 20-Fri, June 24.

*Students who have turned 13 by June 1, 2011, up to age 18, are eligible to participate in the Blessing Hospital Youth Corps this summer.  This program offers an opportunity for young people to explore a variety of careers in the health field with being a volunteer.  Applications are on the web under Blessing Health System, and must be received by no later than May 6, 2011.

*Gully trucking in Quincy is looking to hire individuals this summer to do some cleaning and painting of truck wheels.  You cannot be afraid of getting dirty, breaking a fingernail, or hard work.  If interested call Gene East at 224-0770 ext. 163.

Dates -

  • Baccalaureate is Sun, May 15 at 3:00 at Bluff Hall Church.
  • High School Graduation is Sun, May 22 at 3:00. 
  • Last day of school (report card day) is Tues, May 31.
  • The dead week in the summer for athletics is July 17-23.
  • Sports physical nights at the Quincy Medical Group are Weds, June 8 and Weds, July 20.
