January Minutes

JANUARY 15, 2026

CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Lisa Schwartz called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.  Roll was taken with the following members present:  Denise Albsmeyer, Russ Board, Danelle Donley and Lisa Schwartz.  Keith Barry, Cory Hagerbaumer and Trista Neisen were absent.

Also present were Donna Veile, Julie Molidor, Greg Buescher, Tyler Duschinsky, Lucas Ayers and Nancy Cromie.

Diane Germann, Kayla Robbins, Tahnee Bower

SPONSOR REPORT
Diane Germann addressed the board regarding the senior trip.

TECHNOLOGY REPORT
Lucas Ayers submitted a report of technology issues over the past month.  They are looking into tying the alarms and phones together by zones to provide more accurate location information. Networking issues in the new addition have been resolved.

AD REPORT
Tyler Duschinsky shared a report on the status of JH volleyball, wrestling and HS boys basketball.   JH boys basketball is starting regionals.

CONSENT AGENDA
Donley made a motion to approve the consent agenda.  Board seconded the motion.  AYE:  Albsmeyer, Board, Donley and Schwartz  NAY:  None                                                                                                                  

SUPERINTENDENT REPORT
Donna Veile shared an update on the facilities.  The Health Life Safety Plan is up for a 10 year review. Maintenance, the fire department and the alarm company worked together to resolve a fire alarm issue.

SENIOR TRIP
Albsmeyer made a motion to approve the senior trip for March 11-16, 2026.  Donley seconded the motion.  AYE:  Albsmeyer, Board, Donley and Schwartz   NAY:None

SOPPA OFFICER     
Donley made a motion to approve Lucas Ayers as SOPPA officer.  Albsmeyer seconded the motion.    AYE:  Albsmeyer, Board, Donley and Schwartz   NAY:None

ELEMENTARY PRINCIPAL REPORT
Julie Molidor shared that the Mobile Dentist was at the elementary on January 8th and 25 students were registered to receive an exam.  MAP testing has started and the results will be analyzed at the end of the month.  Mr. Bentley from Legacy Martial Arts met with students during TRIBE time this month. 

JH/HS PRINCIPAL REPORT
Greg Buescher Greg Buescher reported that MAP testing is currently taking place.  He also shared that one student attended the Mobile Dentist.  Homecoming is the last week this month, with the game taking place on the 30th and the dance on the 31st.  Students toured VoTech on January 13.

MOVE TO CLOSED SESSION
Albsmeyer made a motion to move into closed session for the purpose of discussing the employment of personnel, student matters, and other items appropriate for closed session.   Board seconded the motion.  AYE:  Albsmeyer,  Board, Donley and Schwartz  NAY:  None                             
Moved to closed session at 7:18 p.m.

RETURN TO OPEN SESSION
Board made a motion to return to open session.   Donley seconded the motion.   AYE:  Albsmeyer, Board, Donley and Schwartz  NAY:  None                             
Returned to open session at 7:46 p.m.

ADJOURNMENT
Donley made a motion to adjourn.   Schwartz seconded the motion.   AYE:  Albsmeyer, Board, Donley and Schwartz  NAY:  None

BOARD ACTION/DISCUSSION
